Thai Inspired Squash and Lentil Dip
This is a great dip for veggies or pita chips! The combination here is just crazy delicious…only problem is you won’t be able to stop eating it!!
Roasted Eggplant and Pomegranate Salad
The pop from the pomegranate “jewels” pairs so perfectly with the creamy eggplant in this delicious dish. Use it as a starter salad or a dip for veggies, chips or crackers.
Mediterranean Roasted Tomatoes
This is a delicious appetizer served with some crusty bread for dipping or as a nice veggie side! Roasting the tomatoes really brings out their natural sweetness, the olives and feta add that Mediterranean salty touch! Try it once and you will be addicted!!
This is a really great spread for your morning bagel or some crackers for an afternoon snack! It’s a wonderful alternative to peanut butter! This recipe will make about 1 cup of Almond Butter. It will store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 1 month. Note that in order to get proper consistency on this butter you need a really powerful blender such as a Vitamix or a Ninja.
Labneh Topped with Zaatar
This is just a perfect combination for a really creamy dip with a Middle Eastern twist! I love that it is also super simple to whip up in a hurry! Put it in the center of a big tray of raw veggies and snack away. You can also serve with pita wedges or tortilla chips.
Smoky Mediterranean Eggplant Salad
This dish is so creamy and smoky – really delicious! Serve it as a side salad or as an appetizer with some pita chips for dipping.
Black Pepper Sour Cream
A simple and fun dip for veggies or crispy fries!
A great dip for fries, roasted veggies or even a sandwich spread!

A really fun and different dip to serve with crackers, fresh bread or even some crunchy veggies!
Apple Jam with Rose Water
This is a delicious jam that is traditionally made by Iraqi Jews for the Jewish New Year. I usually make huge portions of it and give it away as gifts to friends and family. The secret to this recipe is the Red Delicious apples, any other apple melts and turns into sauce so do not try to use a different apple! Also, it is important to note that when cutting your apples try to make your pieces as even as possible to ensure that everything cooks at the same rate. This recipe will make 2 X 500 ML jars.
Oven Roasted Tomatoes
These tomatoes are absolutely delicious! The flavours are full bodied, caramelized and crazy sweet! You can eat them as a side dish on their own or serve with a nice piece of baguette or even use them to top pastas and sandwiches. I like to make a big batch when tomatoes are in season and freeze in resealable bags. You can just pop a few out as you need in the winter!
Cottage Cheese Topped with Zaatar Chickpeas
This is an amazingly satisfying lunch, served on its own. It can also be served with some pita chips or crackers as a fun appetizer for company.
Babaghanouj (Lebanese Eggplant Dip)
An absolutely great classic Lebanese dip! For the authentic experience, serve with warm pita bread! It is also great with pita chips, crackers or fresh veggies. You will notice my trick here is to roast the garlic within the flesh of the eggplant. Since roasted garlic has a smoother flavour than raw, it is better in this dip. The eggplant serves as a great device to prevent the garlic from burning, while allowing itself to be infused with the delicious roasted garlic flavor!
Thai Sweet Potato – Coconut Spread
This dip has really special flavor combinations! It can be served with crackers, or as a sandwich spread or even as a dip for fresh veggies.
Fresh Mango and Cilantro Salsa
This is a great and refreshing salsa to serve over tacos or enchiladas. It is also great as a dip with tortilla chips to be served as an appetizer when you have company over.2. This salsa can be made up to 2 days in advance – store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Roasted Red Pepper and Cumin Hummus
The sweetness of the roasted peppers combines beautifully with the cumin for a new take on the classic loved hummus! For this recipe, you can use store bought, jarred roasted peppers or make your own.
Roasted Garlic and White Bean Hummus
This is a change from the traditional chickpea hummus. I find white beans smoother tasting than chickpeas, therefore they pair beautifully with roasted garlic. Serve with pita chips or raw vegetables for dipping.
Spiced Red Lentil and Herb Dip
This is a great dip to serve with pita or even tortilla chips. It’s really healthy, high in fibre and protein and very low in fat!
Black Bean and Mango Salsa
This is a great salsa to serve over tacos or enchiladas or even as a dip with tortilla chips. The black beans make it a bit more substantial than the average salsa as they are full of protein and fibre! The mango and cilantro add a really fresh nice flavour. This recipe will give you about 3 cups of salsa. This salsa can be made up to 2 days in advance – store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
