Cocktails for New Year's Eve

There's something about New Year's Eve that just puts everyone in a great mood! Getting dressed up, being with friends and family, counting down to midnight while watching the ball drop and of course great food and cocktails!

Invite some friends over this year for a great time!

We all know that New Year's Eve just wouldn't be the same without a great cocktail!

Since you probably don't want to be playing bartender all night long, a big bowl of punch is the best way to go. Make a huge bowl, it looks pretty, and people will have fun refilling their drinks all night long! Here is my husband's winning recipe for a perfect party punch.

Whether you have minors at your party or guests who simply do not want alcohol, it is important to make sure everyone is comfortable. That is why it's great to make a second bowl of the punch, but leave out the rum. It is really good and people will appreciate the option!

Instead of watering down your punch with ice cubes keep it cool with this simple trick. Cut up fresh fruit such as apples, strawberries, oranges, kiwis, pears etc... Place them flat on a baking sheet or a plastic plate and freeze for at least an hour. Then place in a large freezer bag and store in your freezer until the party. When you make your punch, drop a handful of this frozen fruit mixture into the bowl. This will not only cool down the drink, it also adds flavor and makes it extremely pretty!

If you would like other drink suggestions for your New Year's Party, try one of these!

Most importantly have a great time!
